The weekend started off a little slow for Leaf Ray with a close loss to Detroit Revolution. The team quickly bounced back with a dominating performance against Beer City Growlers. That set Leaf Ray up for a semi-final playoff game against the Chi-Town Shamrocks which Leaf Ray beat in a shootout the prior tournament. Leaf Ray put them away by a score of 10-7 stamping their ticket to the championship and setting up the rematch against the Detroit Revolution.
The championship game was a close one with a 1-0 first period but the Revolution did not have the stamina to keep up with Leaf Rays game strategy. Final score was 6-1. The team pull out a tournament championship with a 3-1 record making the season record 7-5.
